Alden Richards tried to kiss Yaya Dub (played by Maine Mendoza) during the October 24 episode of Eat Bulaga titled #ALDubEBTamangPanahon.
Lola Nidora (Wally Bayola) triumphantly announced, "Ito na ang tamang panahon!"
Her announcement was met with thunderous cheers from the audience at the Philippine Arena, which has a capacity of 55,000 people.
Lola Nidora took both of their hands and motioned that they can now spend time together.
Before leaving the stage, Alden and Maine gave a hug to Lola Nidora.
Alden, who was wearing a tuxedo, brought gifts for Yaya Dub: a box of roses and the glass shoe that she left behind at Broadway Centrum when she performed for Dabarkads Pa More.
He slipped the shoe onto her feet before they danced sweetly while an instrumental version of "God Gave Me You" played in the background.
Alden looked into her eyes and said: "Maine, matagal ko nang hinintay ang chance na ito to say that God gave me you. Ang layo na ng narating natin.
"Dalawang taong naghahanap at finally nagkita na rin. Salamat."
When asked to say her message to Alden (not a Dubsmash), Maine said: "Alden, "Thank you. Alam mo pinagdasal ko talaga ‘tong araw na ito. Ganundin naman yung gusto kong sabihin sa iyo, ‘God gave me you.‘
"Ang dami nang nagbago sa buhay natin pero may mga bagay na hindi magbabago. Isa na dun ang ikaw at ako."
They both hugged each other as they become overwhelmed with emotions.
At one point during the show, Alden tried to kiss Maine but the Dubsmash Queen put her finger to his lips to stop him.
During the event, Alden gave his rendition of "God Gave Me You" and said that he was dedicating this song to Maine and entire Aldub Nation.
Halfway through the song, Alden brought the microphone near Maine so she could sing a portion of the song.
Towards the end of the show, the familiar horn sounded, marking the end of the show. At that point, Alden and Yaya Dub froze in their positions, with their faces very close to each other.
Alden pretended to kiss Yaya Dub but she moved her face away.
EB Dabarkad Joey de Leon pushed Alden's face near Yaya Dub's face and positioned them as if they were about to kiss.
Backstage, it was shown that Lola Nidora came face to face with the riding-in-tandem pair and she was able to retrieve the diary containing secrets.
Thousands of AlDub fans witnessed this historic event at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
In addition, GMA-7 broadcast this show in various countries worldwide including Canada, Japan, New Zealand, and the Middle East.
There were also public viewings that took place in different Philippine locations such as Dagupan and Mindanao.
It was announced during the show that as of 2:07 pm, there were 20.7 million tweets about #ALDubEBTamangPanahon.
