Rhian Ramos will lead the TV adaptation of Sinungaling Mong Puso, which will be part of GMA-7's afternoon block.
Rhian will play Clara, a character first played by Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos.
Sinungaling Mong Puso is a 1992 film produced by Regal Films. Aside from Vilma, it also starred Gabby Concepcion, Aga Muhlach, Alice Dixson, and Aiko Melendez. It was directed by Maryo J. Delos Reyes.
The cast members of the show had their story conference last Monday, June 20, according to an Instagram post of GMA Network.
Also part of the upcoming TV show are Rafael Rosell (who will reprise the role first played by Gabby Concepcion) and Kiko Estrada (who will portray the role of Aga Muhlach).
This project serves as the showbiz comeback of Kiko's mother Cheska Diaz, who has not been active in showbiz for several years. Prior to this, she had a guest role in the Kapuso primetime series That's My Amboy.
Sinungaling Mong Puso also features Jazz Ocampo, Glydel Mercado, Stephannie Sol, Gab de Leon, Gee Canlas, and JC Tiuseco. Michael de Mesa and Sherilyn Reyes, who were not present during the story conference, are also part of the cast.
Rhian and Kiko expressed their excitement for their new show based on their Instagram posts.
The original movie revolved around Clara, who enters into a relationship with a younger man to escape the hardships she has been experiencing with her own husband.
