Lovi Poe is happy that she and Tom Rodriguez broke the ice immediately after they started shooting for their new soap Someone To Watch Over Me.
Because of this, doing intimate scenes with her fellow Kapuso actor became easier.
In an interview with Lovi after she signed a new contract with GMA Network, she revealed that she and Tom will be having intimate scenes since they are playing a couple onscreen.
“May intimate scenes po kami,” she said.
“Very intimate po ang scenes namin. Kasi 'yong director namin kinakausap lang kami na, 'O, kayo na ang bahala.' So, kahit hindi kasama sa script, we still do it.
“I mean, ako, I believe in having a certain connection with your partner, whether it's real or not.
“So, parang noong magkasama kami sa eksena, kahit hindi kailangan mag-kiss, ipapakita namin dahil mag-asawa kami [sa soap].
“Kung paano umarte ang mag-asawa, 'yon talaga ang ipinapakita namin, we have to make sure na ganun, very realistic.
“Hindi na akong nahihiyang gagawin ko 'to, 'tapos biglang baka magulat siya, 'Bakit ako kini-kiss nito, wala naman sa script?'
“Open siya sa ganun, which is good for me.”
In Someone To Watch Over Me, Tom's character will experiences early onset of Alzheimer's disease.
“He is is slowly forgetting about his life,” says Lovi, who will play the role of Tom's wife.
According to Lovi, the series aims to inform viewers about Alzheimer's disease.
“I think it's important po kasi that we raise awareness about these things.
“Kasi, usually, we talk about kapag may mga taong nakakaedad na, usually naiisip lang natin na nagiging malilimutin lang sila.
“It's nice to actually raise awareness that these things actually happen and it's a disease.
“And hindi lang ito nangyayari sa mga taong may edad na, pwede rin sa mga bata pa.”
Joining Lovi and Tom in the cast are Max Collins, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Edu Manzano.
It will be directed by Mario J. delos Reyes.
