Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil appreciate that Dolce Amore fans did not leave them despite having a new competitor on the rival network which also had a strong following. "Nakakatuwa, kasi doon mo makikita yung talagang solid yung fans ng Dolce Amore and they really care for us na kahit may magagandang palabas doon sa kabila, they still stick to Dolce Amore," said Liza. The LizQuen series is set to end next week, August 26.

According to Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, the stars of the six-month-old teleserye Dolce Amore, they are very happy that viewers still choose to follow the love story of Tenten (Enrique) and Serena (Liza) as it comes to an end next Friday, August 26.

It can be recalled that last month, GMA-7's newest Korean drama Descendants of the Sun (DOTS), known to be one of the most successful dramas in Korea, posed a threat to the series's ratings, especially in Urban Luzon according to AGB Nielsen.

However, during the August 8 to 11 period, the LizQuen-starrer Dolce Amore was able to regain strong TV ratings in Urban Luzon and took the lead in its timeslot.

Quen said about this development, "Bigay na sa 'tin yun, patapos na kami, e. Hahaha! Joke lang!"

For her part, Liza pointed out, "Nakakatuwa, kasi doon mo makikita yung talagang solid yung fans ng Dolce Amore and they really care for us na kahit may magagandang palabas doon sa kabila, they still stick to Dolce Amore. It's really a good thing na nahahakot namin yung viewers."

Enrique added, "At saka feeling ko, matagal na rin kaming umeere, patapos na."

TENTEN AND SERENA'S ENDING. According to both Liza and Quen, they love how their characters Serena and Tenten have evolved as the story of Dolce Amore progressed from book one to book three.

Quen quipped about Tenten, "Ako, natutuwa rin naman ako sa changes ni Tenten. Natutuwa ako na mas marami na siyang pera ngayon!"

He added, "Pero kahit papaano, hahanapin at babalik uli yung unang Tenten. Iba pa rin sa puso namin yung original Tenten [at] Serena."

Now that Dolce Amore is down to its last seven episodes, it seems that the LizQuen tandem already has an idea on the story's ending since there was a previous report that the fans decide on what will happen with Serena and Tenten's love story.

But then, Liza clarified, "Sabi niya [Quen] kasi, parang napapansin niya daw yung story, kung ano yung [gusto ng] fans, yun yung nangyayari.

"Siguro nagkakataon lang. Pero ang ibig kong sabihin, yung based on fans' votes noon, yung ipe-perform namin sa Dolce Amore concert, hindi yung ending [ng teleserye]!

"Akala nila siguro, yung parang kay Jericho and Kristine na teleserye dati na parang votes of the fans pero hindi ganon."

Liza is referring to Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas, a 2003-2004 teleserye starring Jericho Rosales, Kristine Hermosa, Diether Ocampo, and Angelika dela Cruz where fans chose who will end up with whom, and whose wedding will air on its final episode.

The 18-year-old actress continued, "We kind of know what the outline of the ending is pero hindi namin alam into detail kung ano yung mangyayari."

But if they are to choose how the story of Tenten and Serena will end, both exclaimed, "Gusto namin ikasal sa Italy!"

The LizQuen tandem were then asked to give messages to their characters in Dolce Amore.

The Kapamilya actress gace advice to her character Serena, "Be true to yourselves, huwag nang magpatumpikpik pa. Huwag nang magpakipot, be honest with yourselves."

The 24-year-old actor echoed his love team partner's answer by saying, "Ang dami nang pinagdaanan, ang dami nang beses na pinilit ng tadhana na ipagtagpo kayo, why stop now?

"Halata na, destiny will always find its way. Accept it in your heart."
