This was announced today, November 22 (November 21 in New York City), during the gala night held at the Hilton New York Hotel.

The Pangako Sa 'Yo actress lost to Christiane Paul for Germany's 2015 TV movie Unterm Radar.

Prior to the awarding ceremony, Jodi gave a short speech during the iEmmys Nominee Medal Ceremony wherein she gratefully said, "This moment is a proof that dreams do come true." 

Jodi was nominated in the Best Actress category for her portrayal of Amor Powers in the ABS-CBN remake of Pangako Sa 'Yo.

In this Kapamilya series, Jodi portrayed a woman seeking justice for the death of her father and daughter.

Her character gets a second chance at love with a rich politician named Eduardo (Ian Veneracion). The grieving mother later on finds out that her daughter is still alive and goes by the name of Yna (Kathryn Bernardo).

Jodi personally went to New York to attend the awarding and other pre-awards night events of the International Emmys.

During the Nominee Panel Ceremony, Jodi talked about her role as Amor Powers in Pangako Sa ’Yo alongside other Best Actor and Best Actress nominees.

The Filipina actress also graced the Performance Panel of the said prestigious award-giving body together with her fellow nominees.

BRIDGES OF LOVE. Meanwhile, ABS-CBN drama series Bridges of Love also lost in the Best Telenovela category.

The teleserye starring Maja Salvador, Jericho Rosales, and Paulo Avelino lost to Verdades Secretas of Brazil.

Bridges of Love  tells the story of two brothers Gael (Jericho) and Carlos (Paulo) who got separated after a tragic accident.

Years later, they found themselves competing for the love of Mia (Maja) without knowing that they are related to each other.

Bridges of Love's creative manager Henry King Quitain and Star Creatives's Business Unit Head Des Tanwangco also attended the awards night.

The Philippines was also represented by ABS-CBN chief content officer Charo Santos-Concio, who graced last year’s iEmmys as gala chair, and ABS-CBN Integrated Program Acquisitions and International Sales and Distribution head Leng Raymundo, who served as one of the jurors.


In her Instagram account, Jodi posted her photo with Ms. Charo, Bridges of Love's creative manager Henry King and Star Creatives's Business Unit Head Des Tanwangco.
