Most Pinoys are hopeless romantics, which is probably why we're obsessed with the thought of pairing up two people in order to generate kilig vibes.
Through the years, we've seen lots of tandems on TV and film. Social media made it a lot easier for fans to follow their idols and determine whether the relationship extends beyond the screen.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) listed down eight power love teams in the age of social media.
To trim down the list, we included active love teams since 2010 who have worked together for TV and movie projects. We also combined the fans who follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards
If there's one love team fueled mainly by social media, it would have to be Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.
In 2015, the AlDub love team started accidentally on live TV via Eat Bulaga. As they say, the rest is history.
Alden and Maine are very much visible in GMA-7 since they appear on two shows for its daytime and primetime blocks.
Aldub regularly appears on the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga. They are also currently starring in their first primetime series titled Destined To Be Yours.
Aside from their TV projects, Alden and Maine have proven that they are bankable movie stars with their first two movies—My Bebe Love (2015) and Imagine You And Me (2016)—earning millions in the box office.
AlDub is also one of the most followed love teams on social media garnering more than 18.66 million followers.

Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla
Tagged by ABS-CBN as the Teen King and Teen Queen, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo are now venturing into more mature roles.
Kathryn and Daniel's first TV project together was the weekend teen drama Growing Up (2011). However, the popularity of the Kathniel tandem skyrocketed because of the primetime drama Princess and I (2012). Their other TV dramas that earned high viewership ratings nationwide include Got to Believe (2013), and Pangako Sa ’Yo (2015). This 2017, they are paired once again for the Kapamilya fantasy-drama La Luna Sanggre.
Currently, Kathryn and Daniel are promoting their upcoming movie Can't Help Falling In Love that will premiere this April 15. Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil
Another Kapamilya love team that has been very visible on TV and the big screen is LizQuen, composed of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.
The couple's onscreen chemistry was first tested via the movie She's The One (2013). In 2015, LizQuen starred in two consecutive blockbuster hits Just The Way You Are and Everyday I Love You. Their highest grossing movie project to date is their latest film My Ex and Whys, which earned P341 million worldwide.
Adding to the list of their successful projects together are the hit Kapamilya primetime dramas Forevermore (2014) and Dolce Amore (2015).
Their loyal fans definitely helped them achieve their A-list status. The couple's social media following totaled 17.38 million followers on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Nadine Lustre and James Reid
Another Kapamilya love team on the list is Nadine Lustre and James Reid.
Just like LizQuen, JaDine's tandem debuted on the big screen. This reel-to-real life couple has been giving us kilig vibes since 2014 with their hit movie Diary Ng Panget.
Since then, JaDine starred in several other block-buster movies including Talk Back and You're Dead (2014), Para sa Hopeless Romantic (2015), Beauty and the Bestie (2015), and This Time (2016).
Their first TV project was the My App Boyfie episodes of the Kapamilya weekend telefantasya Wansapanataym (2014). After this, they were tapped to team up for the hit primetime dramas On The Wings of Love (2015) and 'Til I Met You (2016).
Aside from TV and movies, JaDine has also been conquering the music and concert scene. In February 2016, the couple made headlines after finally admitting their relationship at their concert JaDine Love: One Hot Concert at the Araneta Coliseum.

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes
Power couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes set the bar high when it comes to love teams. Marian and Dingdong have come a long way together—from starring in their first TV project, Marimar (2007) to building their own family with Baby Zia.
DongYan's previous projects were the Kapuso remake of the hit Korean drama series Endless Love (2010) and the romantic comedy film You To Me Are Everything (2010).
It's been a while since they worked together but their cute family photos on Instagram are more than enough for their most loyal fans.
Dingdong and Marian is probably the most followed Pinoy couple/love team on social media garnering an estimated total of 25.28 million followers on their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.

If there's one couple we wish were real, it would be John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo.
The Bea-Lloyd tandem lasted for more than a decade and still never fails to make fans fall in love.
John Lloyd and Bea's tandem dates back to 2003 for Star Cinema's teenybopper flick My First Romance. Their tandem's box-office draw has been tested via several other Kapamilya films including Now That I Have You (2004), Close to You (2006), and All About Love (2006). Their tandem's phenomenal rise came in 2007 after making moviegoers cry in the ultimate hugot film One More Chance.
Some of their most recent movie projects Star Cinema's blockbuster hit Miss You Like Crazy (2010) and The Mistress (2013). In 2016, they made us ugly cry in the hit movie A Second Chance, which is the couple's highest-grossing movie project earning P556 million worldwide.
John Lloyd and Bea also topbilled successful primetime dramas including Maging Sino Ka Man (2006) and I ♥ Betty La Fea (2008). Their last team up for TV is for the Kapamilya primetime series A Beautiful Affair (2012).
As for their social media following, John Lloyd and Bea's total follower count is 7 million, noting that the former doesn't really maintain active accounts on Twitter and Instagram.
Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado
GMA-7 stars Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo, collectively known as DenJen, are among reel-turned-real-life couples.
Jennylyn and Dennis became close to each other after being paired in the Kapuso drama anthology Sine Novela: Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak (2010) and Now and Forever: Dangal (2006).
However, their short-lived love story ended back in 2011 after a heated argument went overboard. Dennis and Jennylyn gave their relationship a second chance and were reunited in 2015.

Kim and Xian made their fans feel kilig via the romanic-comedy primetime series My Binondo Girl (2011). This was followed by an intense Kapamilya drama Ina, Kapatid, Anak (2012). Their last teleserye project was The Story of Us (2016).
Meanwhile, the couple's list of top-grossing films include Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo? (2013), Bride for Rent (2014), Past Tense (2014), Must Date The Playboy (2015), and All You Need Is Pag-Ibig (2015).
Kim and Xian is the third most followed Philippine love team on social media with 19.83 million followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
