Even though Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil are busy with their solo projects, the tandem of LizQuen assured their fans at the Close-Up #CloserThanEver fan-meet event this August 22 that they won’t be breaking up their loveteam anytime soon.
Enrique told the press, “Huwag kayo mag-alala, hindi kami maghihiwalay.”
There are multiple projects in the works for the pair, and earlier this year, Liza and Enrique teased about their special participation in the pilot week for an upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye titled Bagani.
The loveteam made this announcement last May during their Star Magic show in Santa Clara, California.
In a small group interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the Kapamilya stars confirmed their participation and revealed that the show is set to air in 2018.
Without revealing too much details, Enrique told PEP, “It’s the story about how the Philippines was created…”
He said that story would involve “five superheroes” coming together and introduce “spiritual and elemental gods” that represent “different regions in the Philippines.”
Liza quickly cut off Enrique before he delved further into the plot, “You’re saying too much, Quen [Enrique’s nickname]!”
Enrique simply concluded, “It’s all about our culture. Ang galing!”
LIZQUEN MOVIE. Apart from their special participation in the pilot week of Bagani, the LizQuen pair are set to have their own teleserye as well.
They will also be reuniting for another film project, which Liza teased would be "different" from the current filmography.
Liza said, “I’m excited to be doing something different other than comedy and romance.”
