Former TV5 actress Ritz Azul doesn't mind that her first ABS-CBN teleserye The Promise of Forever is a canned show.
This means that the show has already been taped completely before being aired on television.
In fact, it was once rumored that the series has been shelved since it took a long time before it was aired.
She said, "Well ako, personally, proud ako and excited ako na maipalabas itong The Promise of Forever. Proud ako in a way na kasi alam naming pinaghirapan talaga ito, talagang pinaghandaan.
Paulo Avelino, who plays the central character of the show, echoed Ritz's thoughts.
He pointed out, "Marami rin kasing perks when it gets canned dahil nagkakaoras sa editing and post production, nakikita nila pag may kulang, pag may kailangan silang i-adjust.
"But more than that, yung management din kasi ang nagdedecide. And sa tingin namin, ito yung tamang panahon na napagdesisyunan nila para i-ere itong The Promise of Forever."
Since it is already canned, the program is expected to air for only one season. For this reason, it can't have an extended run.
Ritz seemed to prefer it that way.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and select entertainment reporters were able to speak with Ritz, Paulo, and Ejay Falcon during the digital conference of The Promise of Forever last August 29 at Dong Juan Restaurant, Quezon City.
SHOOTING IN EUROPE. This is one of the few teleseryes that was shot in multiple countries, particularly in Eastern Europe.
Paulo shared one of his experiences with the locals in Krakow, Polland, which he considers as his favorite place during their taping.
He said with a smile, "Nakakatuwa, noong may ginagawa kaming eksena, tumatakbo ako na parang may hinahabol akong kotse, may isang local na tumigil na, 'Hey, are you okay?' They're really concerned!"
Ritz also shared how they were welcomed by Czech Republic Ambassador Jaroslav Olsa Jr. before shooting their scenes in Prague.
ABS-CBN Corporate Communications manager Aaron Domingo announced that The Promise of Forever is the most expensive teleserye of te Kapamilya Network, to date.
He reasoned out, "Kami kasi nag ayos ng visa, ang Corp Comm.
"First time na nilakad namin for different countries sa Europe. Ito ang pinaka expensive na teleserye!"
No timeslot has been announced yet for this new series, which is scheduled to be shown this September 2017.
