Jennylyn Mercado can be considered an example of someone who is able to visualize and achieve success.
The GMA-7 actress recalled her humble beginnings through an inspirational talk she gave in front of up-and-coming Kapuso stars.
During her talk, Jennylyn revealed that through patience and hard work, she was able to achieve her goal of working with her dream leading man.
Through her Facebook Live video broadcast last October 26, the Kapuso actress stressed the importance of patiently waiting for one's big break.
The 30-year-old actress then narrated how she was able to improve her situation from being a bit player to a lead star.
"Before, naging extra ako.
Gusto ko talaga mag-artista, maliit pa lang ako," admitted the Ultimate Survivor of StarStruck Season 1.
Mag-aral kayo," said Jennylyn as she gave advice to the aspiring artistas.
In one of her earlier jobs, Jennylyn was able to work on an ABS-CBN project.
"Nag-extra ako sa show sa ibang istasyon. Nakatrabaho ko si John Lloyd [Cruz]."
She was referring to the 1998 ABS-CBN teleserye Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay.
The actress said with a laugh, "Ang taas ng pangarap ko nun, ha!
"Pagkatapos ng 13 years, 13 years, ha! Ang tagal!
"Ang tagal-tagal kasi worth it naman.
"Last year, nakagawa ako ng pelikula kasama si John Lloyd."
They were paired in the 2016 Star Cinema movie Just The 3 Of Us.
"Ang bongga naman pala," said the Kapuso actress. "Sulit naman ang paghihintay."
The Jennylyn-John Lloyd movie Just The 3 Of Us was able to gross P100 million in the Philippine box-office.
