Gladys Reyes makes an acting comeback on ABS-CBN after five years of being with rival networks.

She is set to top-bill an episode of Ipaglaban Mo today, November 25.

In the episode titled "Kulam," Gladys plays Cristy, a widow who sells herbal medicines and offers home massages for a living.

However, she and her daughter Ria, played by Sharlene San Pedro, become victims of false accusations when neighbors start spreading rumors that they are hexers—or "mangkukulam."

A lot of people were convinced by the rumors and they blamed Cristy for the sudden deaths of their neighbors.

The Ipaglaban Mo episode is Gladys's first acting project with ABS-CBN after five years.

Her last TV project with ABS-CBN was the early prime-time series Wako Wako that aired from March to May 2012.

After the show, Gladys did a project with TV5, the prime-time series Enchanted Garden.

In November 2012, the 39-year-old actress signed a contract with GMA-7, and became a host of the short-lived infotainment show Nay-1-1.

Gladys actually began her career with ABS-CBN. Starting out as a child actress, she got her first TV show in 1992. Gladys played the iconic villainous role of Clara in Mara Clara alongside Judy Ann Santos.

The project catapulted her to stardom as one of local TV's finest kontrabidas.

When Mara Clara ended in 1997, Gladys did two projects with GMA-7 and VIVA, Ikaw na Sana (1997) and Ganyan Kita Kamahal (1998).

In 1999, she returned to ABS-CBN and joined the series Saan Ka Man Naroroon starring Claudine Barretto. She was also included in the teleserye Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan that aired from 2001 to 2003.

At the same time, Gladys was also the main villain in the afternoon series Recuerdo De Amor.
