For the first time, Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil were seen in their costumes for the upcoming fantasy series Bagani.
The LizQuen love team, together with co-stars Sofia Andres and Makisig Morales, wore their costumes during the ABS-CBN trade launch event held last Tuesday, November 28.
In a previous interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Enrique said that Bagani tells the story of how the Philippines was created.
The trailer shown during the trade launch is yet to be released online, but Bagani's drama unit Star Creatives uploaded photos of the cast members wearing their costumes during the event:
According to some netizens who were able to watch the trailer during the trade launch, the characters of Bagani will represent classic elements: earth, water, wind, fire, and wood:

This is an Enriqie serye! #Bagani
Ito ang papalit sa Ang Probinsyano. Super high budget. Gandaaaa!
BAGANI VS. ENCANTADIA. Since Bagani is also in the fantasy genre and makes use of the elements, some netizens compared it to GMA-7's telefantasya Encantadia.
The Kapuso show also used the elements of wind, water, earth, and fire to represent the four gems and kingdoms inside the world of Encantadia.
Some Encantadiks—fans of Encantadia—pointed out that the new ABS-CBN fantaserye might be similar to the GMA show, which first aired in 2005, and had a requel (remake + sequel) in 2016.
LizQuen fans quickly came to the rescue to defend the new show of their idols.
However, there are other netizens who are happy to see that ABS-CBN and GMA-7 are producing epic fantaseryes that have not been seen in the prime-time block for a long time.
There are even netizens who admit they are both fans of Encantadia and LizQuen:
And this guy right here just made a fearless prediction that could happen this 2018:
