After four months, GMA-7 aired the finale episode of Super Ma'am last Friday, January 26.
In this prime-time series top-billed by Marian Rivera, she brought life to a teacher named Minerva who has a superhero alter-ego named Super Ma'am.
In the finale episode, the Tamawo have risen and attack students and teachers.
The Super Kids, without their powers, run to try to find Ma’am Minerva. But the Tamawo are able to stop them. Casper (Kevin Santos) calls Minerva to tell her about what is happening. He also records live video of the attack.
In the meantime, Avenir/Mabelle (Kim Domingo) is weak and stuck in the cave. She feels defeated and guilty because she used her anger against Minerva and helped to call forth the Tamawo once again.
In the arena, the students and teachers are held hostage by the Tamawo. Casper appeals to Minerva to help and save them.
Greta addresses the frightened crowd and introduces Agalon (Victor Neri), their sinister leader.
Back in the cave, Mabelle remembers that Greta (Jackie Lou Blanco) tells her that she betrayed her own family. She slowly remembers and asks herself if Minerva’s family is her own family.
Agalon wants everyone to kneel before him and become his slaves. Suddenly, Super Ma’am arrives and challenges him to fight.
Mabelle suddenly realizes and remembers that she is Minerva’s sister. She sobs in regret but this also motivates her to get out of the cave and go back to her family to ask forgiveness from her sister.
Super Ma’am tries to fight Agalon with her magic whip but he is too strong. The crowd watches, incredulous.
He tries to suck out her energy. Just as she starts to lose her resolve, a young man arrives to help her. He is Isidro, also a Guerrero, brother of Isko and Isagani Dagohoy. They combine forces to fight Agalon and the forces of evil.
Super Ma’am reiterates that people are still better than Agalon because he does not have the ability to love.
The Tamawo bring in her family as hostages. Agalon says that love is the reason for people’s weakness. Once again, he orders her to kneel before him, and he will make her his right hand.“If not, everyone will die,” he says.
Super Ma’am is moved close to tears and starts to kneel before Agalon but then, she swiftly stands and attacks him, saying: “You don’t understand because you do not have a heart.”
The people fight against Tamawos all over the arena.
Suddenly, in the fray, Agalon is unmasked, and Super Ma’am swiftly destroys the golden mask.
They are annihilated and disappear.
Super Ma’am thanks God for the strength from people that she has been able to lean on.
She also asks for help and guidance whether she should continue being Super Ma’am. The crowd cheers.
The next day, Super Ma’am thanks the Super Kids for helping her. They also thank her for teaching them. They have her consent to continue to be Super Kids. “We need to be prepared. You deserve to be called superheroes.” But there are conditions: to use their powers for good and to study well.
That night, Dolly (Joyce Ching) stands outside and confirms that the Tamawos are gone. She tells Ace (Kristoffer Martin) that because she is no longer needed, she will leave, and that she is asking for forgiveness from Bathala to take her back. Ace confesses that he loves her and that he wants her to stay on earth.
In school, Super Ma’am is back to being Ma’am Minerva, and the students and teachers will keep her secret. Teban (Jerald Napoles) walks her home from school.
