StarStruck 6 graduate and former Alyas Robin Hood actor Dave Bornea is joining the regular cast of GMA-7's comedy anthology Dear Uge, hosted by Eugene Domingo.
The One Up member plays Diego, a water boy who regularly goes to Uge's (Eugene) sari-sari store.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during a recent blogcon, Dave said he was only supposed to guest in the show as a friend of one of the series's regulars, Aaron Yanga.
During the first year of Dear Uge in 2016, Jak Roberto used to be a regular cast member of the show. The Kapuso actor usually flashed his abs in episodes, allowing him to earn his "Pambansang Abs" title.
However, Jak had to leave the show when he became one of Barbie Forteza's leading men in Meant To Be (2017).
Currently, Jak is also busy taping his new show, Contessa, as Glaiza de Castro's leading man.
Does this mean that Dave will be replacing Jak in the show?
What if he gets compared to Jak when it comes to body built?
The 20-year-old actor said with a smile, "Naku, kasi trademark na yan ni Jak Roberto, e, so hindi ko mapantayan.
"Pero siguro in time, makakaisip o makakagawa din ako ng sarili kong trademark so yun lang, abangan niyo na lang."
