Jak Roberto revealed that his topless scene during the pilot episode of Contessa was not part of the script, and was actually the idea of their director Albert Langitan. Jak is one of the leading men of Glaiza de Castro in the new Kapuso teleserye.

One of the most talked-about scenes during the pilot episode of GMA-7's new daytime series Contessa was the topless scene of leading man Jak Roberto.

Jak's character Jong did some target shooting after witnessing how his best friend Bea (Glaiza de Castro) accepted the marriage proposal of her boyfriend Marco (Mark Herras).

It turns out that Jong has secret feelings for Bea, who only considers him a friend.

Tagged as GMA-7's "Pambansang Abs," Jak bared his toned abs while firing a gun at empty aluminum cans.

This became one of the topics during the PEPTalk Live session of Jak, Glaiza, and Phytos Ramirez last March 21 at the Summit Media office.

Glaiza asked her co-star, "Bakit ka nakahubad habang nagbabaril? Bakit hindi ka naghubad sa shower?"

Jal then admitted, "Di ko alam, wala sa script yun. Wala sa script yun, promise."

Glaiza then told PEPsters, "Gusto niyo ba na may topless scene every week si Jak? Comment below, #WeWantJakTopless! Every week, meron kang topless na eksena!

Phytos added, "Pag naka-fifty to one hundred [comments], ire-request natin every week!"

Jak then shared a tweet he read about another scene where viewers thought that he would take off his shirt.

Jak pointed out that it was their director Albert Langitan who told him to take off his shirt during the target shooting scene.

"'Basta! May vision ako, e.'

ANDOY VS. JONG. According to Jak, his Jong character in Contessa is very far from his previous role as Andoy in the prime-time series Meant To Be.

In Contessa, Jak will have several action and fight scenes since he plays a policeman.

However, Glaiza pointed out another similarity between Jak's two characters.

She said, "Nagta-topless din si Andoy…"

Jak then recalled his scenes in Meant To Be, "Oo, pagka bumababa yung rating namin, sa swimming pool yung eksena! Hahaha!

The Kapuso actor said he is open to baring his torso when the scene calls for it.

PREPARATIONS. What were Jak's preparations in order to portray a policeman?

There are several twists that viewers can expect from his character.

Jak's father in the show is portrayed by Leandro Baldemor.

The young actor continued, "Bukod doon, kasi di ba, inaapi si Bea.

Right now, Jak said that he really enjoys doing action scenes.

Contessa airs from Monday to Saturday after Eat Bulaga! on GMA-7's Afternoon Prime block.

It started airing last Monday, March 19, and replaced Ika-6 Na Utos in its timeslot.
