Diamond Star Maricel Soriano is hopeful that her showbiz comeback will continue to go smoothly.
The 53-year-old actress is elated by the box-office success of her current movie, My 2 Mommies. This comedy film is top-billed by Paolo Ballesteros and Solenn Heussaff and produced by Regal Films, Inc.
"Ang aim ko ngayon makapagpasaya ng mga magulang at saka ng mga tao,” said the seasoned actress at the thanksgiving party of My 2 Mommies, held yesterday, May 15.
Indicating that the success of her current film is a good sign for her showbiz comeback, Maricel responded, “Sana naman tuloy-tuloy.
“Maganda ang intentions ko. Walang personal kundi para sa kaligayahan ng iba.
“Kung gusto niyong tumawa, pwede kayong pumasok sa pelikulang ito para tumawa kayo.
“Kung gusto niyong umiyak, meron naman hong TV diyan, meron naman tayong serye.”
UPCOMING TELESERYE. Maricel is slated to star opposite Angel Locsin in an upcoming ABS-CBN prime-time series titled The General’s Daughter.
Her last teleserye was the 2014 series Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real in GMA-7, together with Dingdong Dantes and Lovi Poe.
The veteran actress praised Angel whom she had the chance to work with for the first time.
“Maganda ito. Siguradong maiibigan niyo.
“At napakaganda ho ni Angel dito. Panoorin niyo po siya.
“Mahusay yung bata,” she said.
Other cast members include Janice de Belen, Eula Valdes, and Ryza Cenon.
“Ganda ng casting, puro mahuhusay silang lahat,” Maricel beamed.
She said that they are scheduled to start their look test and are just waiting for the taping schedules.
Meantime, the Diamond Star happily announced in the interview that she is scheduled to do two movies soon.
