Regine Velasquez seems to miss her usual Sunday routine: going to the studio of GMA-7 and performing for its defunct noontime variety show SOP.
Moreover, she misses hosting the show together with her husband Ogie Alcasid as well as co-hosts Janno Gibbs and Jaya.
Last May 19, the Kapuso singer-actress posted on Twitter her old photo together with her former co-hosts.
She wrote in her tweet: "Looooook!!!!! I miss SOP," with three sad emojis.
Regine's fans reacted to her post.
Most of her fans echoed her sentiments of missing the Kapuso variety program, while others suggested that she join ABS-CBN's ASAP.
SOP used to be GMA-7's Sunday musical noontime program, which went head-to-head with ABS-CBN's ASAP.
Prior to its February 1997 premiere on GMA-7, Regine was supposed to be on the show together with Ogie, Janno, Vina Morales, and the cast of VIVA's youth-oriented program TGIS, led by Angelu de Leon.
However, Regine and the TGIS barkada weren't able to join the Kapuso program due to prior commitments.
In 1998, Regine formally joined SOP, which boosted the show's ratings.
In February 2010, 13 years after SOP debuted on television, the show aired its final episode.
Regine, Jaya, Ogie, and Janno continued to be part of GMA-7's succeeding noontime shows: Party Pilipinas (2010-2013) and Sunday All Stars (2013-2015).
However, Ogie left Sunday All Stars when he transferred to TV5 in 2013.
In 2015, when Sunday All Stars ended its run, Regine was supposed to be part of its replacement program, Sunday Pinasaya, but she turned down the hosting stint.
Asia's Songbird reasoned out, "I was feeling kinda bad naman na ako lang yung may trabaho, yung iba kong kasama..."
Currently, Regine is still under contract with GMA-7, and is set to host the upcoming singing search The Clash.
Ogie and Jaya are now both with ABS-CBN and occasionally have the chance to perform on ASAP.
Janno appears in both networks, and he has been a guest on ASAP several times already.
In 2016, Regine visited the set of ASAP to show her support for Ogie, who was given a tribute in the show's "ASAPinoy" segment. However, Regine did not perform in the episode and was only seen backstage.
