KANTAR RATINGS: Piolo and Toni's Home Sweetie Home becomes No. 3 most-watched primetime show

Here are the highlights of the comparative ratings of GMA-7 and ABS-CBN programs from June 22-24, 2018, according to Kantar Media/TNS survey of nationwide households.

ABS-CBN still ruled weekend ratings. The Kapamilya Network’s shows were the top-raters for both daytime and primetime during this given period.

DAYTIME. The two ABS-CBN daytime shows that landed on first place were It’s Showtime and Kapamilya Mega Blockbusters.

The June 23 episode of It’s Showtime featured the semifinal round of Miss Q & A. It had an 18.4% rating, defeating Eat Bulaga’s 12.4%.

The June 24 episode of Kapamilya Mega Blockbusters, meanwhile, featured the hit Vice Ganda film The Super Parental Guardians. This telecast had a rating of 17%, higher than the 6.5% rating of GMA-7’s The Atom Araullo Specials: Backpacking Indochina.

PRIMETIME. Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids was still the leading primetime show during weekends. The impersonation contest that features the Kapamilya channels’ popular young stars continued to get a rating above 30%. In contrast, its counterparts on the Kapuso network were not able to reach 20%.

The Saturday episode garnered a 34.1% rating, beating Pepito Manaloto’s 19.2%. The Sunday episode got 34.4%, which was more than double the 15% rating taken by Lip Sync Battle Philippines.

Home Sweetie Home, which now stars Piolo Pascual instead of John Lloyd Cruz, became the No. 3 most-watched primetime show on a Saturday (June 23). Also top-billed by Toni Gonzaga, Home Sweetie Home got a Kantar rating of 25.6% while its counterpart 24 Oras Weekend registered 19.1%.

Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) was another Kapamilya show on the weekend that got more than 30% ratings. This particular episode, which aired on June 23, featured Rufa Mae Quinto as a mother who has to deal with the identity theft of her daughter.

This MMK episode scored 30.1%, against Magpakailanman’s 14.2%. The Magpakailanman episode featured the life story of Kapuso rising actress Kyline Alcantara.
