Golden Canedo is hailed as the first grand champion of GMA-7's The Clash.
This was announced during the reality competition's live grand finals show aired earlier today, September 30.
Golden bested four other clashers who battled each other for the grand prize: an exclusive contract with GMA-7, a brand new car, a house and lot from Bria Homes, and one million pesos.
The other grand finalists were Mirriam Manalo, Garrett Bolden, Jong Madaliday, and Josh Adornado.
The original Final 6 was trimmed down to five after Anthony Rosaldo got eliminated yesterday, September 29.
Elminated Clasher Esterlina Olmedo was hailed as the Most Loved Clasher, which is awarded to the finalist who is the crowd favorite in social media and mall shows.
The first part of the competition was the solo performances of the Top 5 Clashers.
After the Top 5 performances, it was announced that Jong and Golden would fight each other for the final battle.
The other Final 12 finalists were also present during the grand finals: Melbelline Caluag, Mika Gorospe, Danielle Ozaraga, Lyra Micolob, Esterlina Olmedo, and Kyryll Ugdiman.
The Clash, which started with 62 clashers, started airing last July 7, 2018.
After the grand finals, the Top 6 clashers are expected to join the variety program Studio 7, which will replace The Clash in its Sunday timeslot.
The Clash is also rumored to be Regine Velasquez's last show for GMA-7, as she is rumored to sign with ABS-CBN after her October U.S. tour.
