Jelay Pilones is now the first member of the Big Four for the first teen section of Pinoy Big Brother Otso.
The 17-year-old singer from General Santos won tonight’s Big Jump Challenge by beating Reign Parani, Lie Reposposa and Kaori Oinuma in a difficult wire maze.
In the challenge, the housemates had to hold a long pole. At the end of this pole, they had to balance a small ball. Then they had to make this ball pass through a loopy maze made of wire.
The four teen housemates had to take turns on the maze. Reign was first, Lie was second, Jelay was third, and Kaori was fourth.
The challenge took a long time because it was tiring to hold up the pole while balancing a ball at the end. Reign and Kaori nearly reached the end of the maze, only to drop the ball at the last second.
Fortunately for Jelay, she had help from Star Dreamer Gian, who played a part of the maze for her so she can rest.
WHY ONLY FOUR PLAYED. The reason why only Reign, Lie, Jelay, and Kaori played in the Big Jump challenge is because they were the only housemates who chose to fight in the Big Jump challenge.
The winner of the Big Jump challenge automatically becomes part of the Big Four, the final group of housemates who can become the Big Winner.
This week, Kuya asked all the teen housemates if they want to fight for the Big Jump challenge. As a ruse, he initially revealed that only two housemates can play.
The eight housemates deliberated who among them should become those two. While Reign, Lie, Jelay, and Kaori were determined, Seth, Rhys, Missy, and Karina felt that they should give way.
Seth, Rhys, Missy and Karina said they will not play in the Big Jump because they want to give others more chances to win.
However, Kuya did not like their decision, and he even rebuked them for not fighting for their dreams.
STAR DREAMERS’ HELP. Before the Big Jump challenge, Kuya talked to the Star Dreamers to give them the opportunity to help one housemate. If their chosen housemate wins, they will also get P10,000 pesos.
The Star Dreamers chose Jelay because they saw her as the more determined among the four. They also had to choose who among them would help Jelay, and they chose Gian.
The advantage is that Gian can do a part of the maze himself. This is a big advantage, because it allowed Jelay to rest. The led to a good result, because Jelay did win the Big Jump Challenge.
NO EVICTION. Before the show ended, it was announced that the scheduled eviction for tomorrow’s episode would be canceled.
This is because one of the housemates had requested to voluntarily exit the house.
Who is this housemate? Big Brother will make the announcement tomorrow, December 30.
