Teen housemate Missy Quino has left the Pinoy Big Brother Otso house.
The 17-year-old Cebuana, who was nominated for eviction from last weekend, decided to sacrifice herself so that her fellow nominees won’t be evicted from the house.
Missy was nominated after her group lost the Big Otso task last Sunday, December 23. The other housemates in her group—Kaori Oinuma, Lie Reposposa, Reign Parani, and Seth Fedelin—were nominated as well.
Because of Missy’s decision, the public voting for the eviction was canceled last night. All SMS votes have thus been disregarded.
Missy had expressed several times in the past that she feels guilty for being an official housemate, and for being eligible to become the Big Winner.
Missy originated from Camp Star Hunt, a location outside the Big Brother House where Star Dreamers were staying to face challenges to win a spot in the house.
Star Dreamers are teenagers who auditioned to become a housemate but did not make it.
Each week, one Star Dreamer moves into the Big Brother house as an official housemate to replace the housemate that has been evicted for that week.
Missy was the last Star Dreamer to move into the house. This caused her to feel guilty, because she has been afforded opportunities that are the same ones as the housemates who have been into house much longer than her.
Missy is the first housemate this season to leave the house voluntarily. But Missy is not out of the show yet, because Kuya has allowed her to return to Camp Star Hunt.
Had Missy stayed, she would have only endured a few more days in the PBB house as this portion of the reality show is ending very soon.
ABS-CBN will introduce new adult housemates in the coming days, to start the regular section of PBB Otso.
