In a span of one week, viewers have come to know the adult housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Otso.
Dubbed as PBB Otso Batch 2, this group was formed when Big Brother picked the eight official housemates from 16 adult Star Dreamers.
One of the highlights this week was the task involving the search for the long-lost parents of a Special Star Dreamer.
Marie Carmen Songalia was dubbed as the "Longing Anak ng Leyte" when she entered the PBB house as the Special Star Dreamer.
The 23-year-old girl from Tacloban, Leyte describes herself as a "licensed professional teacher" who has joined a lot of beauty pageants in the past.
She disclosed her goal in joining ABS-CBN's reality show: "Sumali po ako ng Star Hunt dahil gusto kong maging inspirasyon sa mga kabataan at naniniwala ako na ang Star Hunt ay magiging paraan para makumpleto ang pagkatao ko at makilala ko ang mga tunay kong magulang."
Marie said about her biological mother: "Iniwan niya ako, bata pa po ako.
The document indicated that Eunice Vergara agreed to have her daughter adopted by Aunor Aganon and David Aganon.
A note in the video states that Marie's biological mother might possibly be living in Lucero, Jaminda, Capiz.
In response to this task, netizens used their social media accounts to reach out to those who could give information about Marie's biological mother.
There were also those who joked about asking help from the GMA-7 magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.
KMJS is known for featuring stories of people who were separated from their families and reunited through the help of the show hosted by Jessica Soho.
Here are the adult housemates of PBB Otso who have their own stories that tug at the heart:
Apey Obera, the Binibining Daldal of Gensan, was raised by her grandparents and she grew up not knowing who her mother and father were.
Unbeknownst to her, and Star Dreamer Mark, the Incredible Itay of Compostela Valley, they are actually brother and sister through their father.
In the January 10 episode, Apey told fellow housemate Wakim: "Wala akong parents...nasa province yung lola ko.
Nag-independent ako for almost six years na."
