Tears flowed in the Pinoy Big Brother Otso house as the first evictee of the adult batch has been revealed.

Abi Kassem left the PBB house after losing the public vote against Wakim Regalado and the two-in-one housemate Apey and Mark Obera.

Both saved housemates nearly went head-to-head in the voting, with Wakim's 38.76% only a small fraction away from Mark and Apey's 38.65%.

Abi, meanwhile, only received 22.59% of the votes. She sobbed heavily when her eviction was announced, and she told Kuya in the confession room that she would miss the house.

The 20-year-old Filipino-Lebanese got the least nomination points last week among the three nominees. Andre and Wakim gave her two points for being lazy and hard-headed.

The viewing public and PBB fans conveyed their approval of this nomination on social media, because Abi gained a lot of negative attention due to her attraction to fellow housemate Andre Brouillette.

On the January 22 episode of the show, Abi confessed to the Hawaiian heartthrob that she already likes him. However, Andre rejected her advances because she has a boyfriend outside the house.

This episode prompted netizens to bash Abi online, calling her names like "malandi" and "disloyal."

In Abi's online interview on PBB's Facebook page, she confessed that she regrets becoming close to Andre.

A lot also happened in Camp Star Hunt in this episode.

Abi's eviction led to an open slot for a new housemate. Due to this, Kuya chose one Star Dreamer in Camp Star Hunt to enter the house.

Kuya chose Tori Garcia, a Mass Communication graduate who grew up in Singapore. The bright and joyful 24-year-old shone in last week's wedding task as the event host.

Marie was dismissed from Camp Star Hunt. She was placed in this predicament with Thea because both of them were in the losing team for the third time.

The rest of the Star Dreamers voted on who among the two should stay. Marie only received two votes, while Thea got four.

Tori and Mary Grace voted for Marie, while JC, Patrick, Hanie, and Shawntel voted for Thea.

With Tori's promotion to the main house and Marie's eviction, two slots opened in Camp Star Hunt. This led to the entrance of two new Star Dreamers: 23-year-old twins Kin and Kim Franco from Davao.

The brothers used to work together as radio DJs, but Kim had to leave the job because he had other plans.

Before the show ended, the show revealed that there is a plan to split the 2-in-1 housemates Apey and Mark.

It can be recalled that the estranged siblings became 2-in-1 in the January 20, 2019 episode.

Apey was not pleased with this development, and she had lashed out to Mark several times because of this new status. She mentioned that she'd rather be alone and she does not like asking for anyone's help.

Because of these events, Kuya allowed the public to vote for their status. The public can either vote for Apey and Mark to stay as 2-in-1 or to be split as separate housemates.

PBB Otso will reveal the results of the voting in the next episode.
