The Philippines is one step closer to making it to outer space as Axe Apollo Philippines has chosen two of the three Filipino candidates who will be sent to a US Space Camp to compete with other contestants from all over the world and vie for the 23 seats for space travel.
Evan Rey Datuin and Mario Mendoza Jr. bested 28,000 Filipino aspirants and have been chosen as Philippine emissaries. They will be sent to the US this December for astronaut training. The third spot for the Philippine team of aspiring astronauts will be chosen via electronic raffle promo for those who will buy Axe Apollo body spray.
Datuin and Mendoza were announced as the winners of the Axe Apollo national challenge at a press event at the Skye Bar in W Building, Bonifacio Global City, last Saturday, August 31,.
