Jennica Garcia gets advice from mom Jean Garcia about being a freelancer

Jennica Garcia has three things going for her despite ongoing crisis in her career: the wisdom of her mom Jean Garcia, her small bakery business, and God most of all.

Saad ni Jennica, “Siguro kasi I have nothing to hide anymore.

“I don’t feel na mom’s gonna judge me or something.

“And mama kasi, she asks kasi, she asks question, in a light way.

"Like, when she’s drinking wine and and I’m eating, and she keeps asking a lot of questions.

"So, I don’t keep anything from her, even though nahihiya ako sabihin.”

CAREER BLUES.

Kuwento niya, “[Mommy Jean] noticed that I was sad about it, and that there was no peace in my heart.

“She confirmed lang kung yun nga yung nararamdaman ko, if I feel sad.”

“She explained to me that she had been a freelance actress for the longest time.

“It was only recently that she decided to sign a contract with GMA.

“But for the longest time daw, hindi naman daw sya napahinga.

“Then I was joking na, ’Iba naman kasi, ikaw si Jean Garcia.

Dahil dito, sabi ni Jennica, “God revealed to me na, ‘Jennica, anak, what a network can offer you is fame and money alone. What I, your Father, can offer you is so much more.’

“So, it should be Him that I should cling to.

“So, when God revealed that, when I was reading the Bible, I felt at peace lang.

“That verse was in Samuel 1, parang iba lang talaga.”

“Yes, I am really thankful to God because I’m in a relationship with Him, and He’s in my heart during this time in my life.

“Kasi kung hindi, baka nalukring-lukring na ako.

“’Tapos, wala lang, parang everything falls lang into place.”

BAKING THERAPY.

“’Tapos, may small business na ako, it’s a small set bakery. I bake cakes and cookies for animals.

“I had to talk to a lot of veterinarians to make sure it’s safe, and health-enhancing for animals.

“So, ayun, parang everything falls lang into place.

"Even if walang guaranteed contract, I have a small set bakery, so may income na papasok.”

Dagdag pa niya, “Ganyan, instead of worrying, God is telling me to enjoy this time, na parang to be excited kasi maraming bagong dadating.”

UNDECIDED.

“Kasi, I think it’s wrong naman to talk about it, na makapag-sit down sa iba nang hindi pa nagko-close yung teleserye ko.”
