Senators Grace Poe (left) and Risa Hontiveros oppose move to show alleged sex video of Senator Leila de Lima.

To publish or broadcast, or cause to be published or broadcast, whether in print or broadcast media, or show or exhibit the photo or video coverage or recordings of such sexual act or any similar activity through VCD/DVD, internet, cellular phones and other similar means or device.”

Aniya, “It will serve no legal and practical purpose as the law makes such unlawful act of showing inadmissible in evidence in any judicial, quasi judicial, legislative or administrative hearing or investigation.”

Ayon kay Hontiveros, “This is clearly a case of misogyny.

“The House of Representatives must not entertain this contemptible proposal.

“To borrow a phrase, as for Sen. Leila, I'm with her.”

“Of course not. Well, she is denying that she is the one involved in that sex video.

Nakasaad sa official statement na nailathala sa kanilang Facebook page: “The Gabriela Women's Party does not share the view to advance the proposals to present alleged intimate videos purportedly of Sen. Leila De Lima before congressional hearings, explaining that it is unnecessary and violative of the rights of any person in any forum whether legal, inter-personal, social, professional or political.”

Aniya, “Showing of the alleged video muddles the issues central to the investigations into the links between government officials and the drug trade.

“Congressional hearings should focus its probe on the salient pieces of evidence that will point to the involvement of drug lords and government officials in the illegal drug trade with respect to existing laws.”

Idniin din ni De Jesus, “No man, woman or child, no matter how justified the case is presented for such proposals, deserve to be subjected to the prospect of one's private affairs exposed.”
