Sarah and John Lloyd's chemistry was first tested in 2006 via an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya titled "Kwintas."
In this MMK episode, Sarah and John Lloyd played co-workers in a grocery store who developed feelings for each other.
In 2008, Star Cinema decided to pair the two for the first time via the rom-com A Very Special Love. The movie became a box-office hit that earned P179.5 million during its entire run.
Sarah and John Lloyd portrayed the characters Laida Magtalas and Miggy Montenegro, respectively, in AVSL.
The success of the movie spawned two more sequels: You Changed My Life in 2009 and It Takes A Man and A Woman in 2013. Both movies ended its run by reaching the P200-million mark in the box office.
You Changed My Life earned P225.2 million while It Takes A Man and A Woman earned P405 million.
However, it is not clear yet if Sarah and John Lloyd's new movie will be the fourth installment of their trilogy.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in April 2013, John Lloyd is willing to do a fourth part “if we could come up with better script than this one.
“Pero kung sa tingin ko medyo pilit na at weak na, siguro mas maganda kung i-end na natin dito.”
