He's a singer, a song writer, a comedian, and one of showbiz's most in demand performers. But in GMA-7's upcoming show Pinoy Idol, Ogie ALcasid says he'll be wearing the hat of a fan.

Ang comment ni Ogie for the third leg (after Cagayan De Oro and Batangas), less forgiving na raw sila.

“Sa first two legs kasi, nangangapa pa kami bilang mga judges.

But Ogie insists that his judging here is different.

“No, ako, nakaupo rito as a fan,” explain niya sa amin. “We are really looking for a star, the next singer na iidolohin ng Pilipino, the Pinoy idol. Kaya habang nagdya-judge ako, hindi ako nagpapatawa rito, napansin mo?

“I am feeling everything…tinitignan ko at pinakikiramdaman ko how a contestant will affect me while they [sic] are singing. Hindi naman ako siguro magpi-presume that the first PI will want to sing my song, or that am I planning to write a song na for the first winner. I want to see a star, we want to make a star. To do that, I have to be a fan first, I need to be affected,” pagtatapos ni Ogie.
