Ibang klaseng portrayal naman ang aasahan sa former Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition housemate na si Niña Jose sa bagong teleseryeng muling pagtatambalan nina Kim Chiu at Gerald Anderson, My Only Hope.
Nagmamarka si Niña sa My Girl bilang si Annika, na nakikigulo sa love affair nina Julian (Gerald) at Jasmine (Kim), na sa last stretch ng nabanggit na Pinoy adaptation ng Koreanovela, ay mukhang mapapamahal sa fans ng Kimerald.
"Nagkaroon na ng twist ang character. Pero dito sa bago, hindi ko pa masasabi kung ka-love triangle ko na naman sina Kim at Gerald. Sa nature ng role kasi, may pagka-mysterious ako na may angst, tipong may suicidal instinct [sic]. Kung sa My Girl may pagka-strong ang character ko at lumalaban, dito sa bago ay weak naman ako, na tipong emotionally troubled.
"Happy ako with the kind of roles na ibinibigay sa akin sa ABS. Ibig sabihin, nagtitiwala sila sa akin, and I'm doing a good job," sabi ng young actress, na kailan lang ay nagdiwang ng kanyang kaarawan, sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
Maliban daw kay Kim, ang iba pang nasa cast ng My Only Hope na kasama sa My Girl ay magpu-project na ng maturity.
"Hindi naman sa magpapa-sexy na ako through and through, pero medyo iba na sa dati naming ginagawa ang mapapanood ng mga tao sa bagong teleserye. Ang sabi sa akin, afternoon soap ito na papalit sa Your Song. Ang format nito ay yung parang sa Tabing-Ilog noon," banggit ni Niña.
Isa rin sa kapansin-pansin kay Niña ay ang kanyang pagpapapayat. More than 20 lbs. na ang nawala sa kanya mula nang sumali siya sa PBB Teens, na bumagay talaga sa kanya.
"I'm weighing around 110 pounds, which is just right for me," sabi niya. "They were saying before that I look like Katya Santos because I look chubby. But I guess, hindi ko na siya kamukha.
"Yeah, of course, I know Katya. Viva Hot Babe siya, di ba? Nagpapa-sexy rin siya. Ang pagka-sexy kasi ni Katya, yung tipong malaman. I don't mean anything derogatory naman, di ba?" natatawang depensa ni Niña.
Inaasahan na magkakaroon uli ng kissing scenes sina Gerald at Niña sa bagong teleserye. Ito raw ang ipinag-react ng maraming Kimerald fans nang maglapat finally ang mga labi nina Gerald at Niña sa My Girl.
"Naku, talagang nagalit ang fans!" pag-amin ni Nina. "Pero hindi naman ako affected, kasi work lang ito. Nothing personal. Hindi naman sa tunay na buhay nakikigulo ako kina Kim at Gerald. It's just a role. At kung naiinis sa akin ang fans, thank you. Ibig sabihin, effective ako sa ginagawa ko. Ganoon lang ang attitude ko."
Nakikita rin ni Niña na eventually, puwede na siya sa sexy roles, pero hindi yung lalabas siyang bastos.
