GOING FULL BLAST. Impresibo ang naging programa na inihanda ng TV5 para sa paglulunsad ng Aksyon TV na dinaluhan ng media, advertisers, network executives, at news reporters at anchors ng istasyon.
Nag-perform ang grupong The Company ng sarili nilang version ng mga awiting "Bad Romance," "Paparazzi," at ng OPM gems na kanilang pinasikat katulad ng "Muntik Na Kitang Minahal," "Pakisabi Na Lang," "Now That I Have You," at "Everlasting Love."
Nagsilbi namang main hosts ng gabing iyon sina Face to Face host Amy Perez at news anchor Martin Andanar.
Marami ang humanga sa interactive presentation ng News5 gamit ang giant stage screen at mime performers, na animo'y nilalaro, hinihila, at pinipindot ang mga visual text and images na lumalabas sa screen wall.
Buong pagmamalaki ring ipinakilala ang mga news anchors, hosts, and reporters na kakatawan sa mga programa na ihahandog ng News5 sa pamamagitan ng Aksyon TV at Radyo Singko.
Sinabayan ng kumpas ni Gerard Salonga, kasama ang musika ng FILharmoniKA symphony orchestra, ang presentasyon ng mga palabas na mapapanood sa pinakabagong news channel.
Pinuri at pinahalagahan naman ni TV5 Chairman Manny Pangilinan ang mga sakripisyo at dedikasyon ng buong news team sa kanilang pagsisikap na magampanan ang trabaho para maghatid ng impormasyon at balita.
"Aksyon TV is the latest vehicle that we have in terms of delivering not only news and information, but also sports. This is a 24/7 news and information and sports service, that will also deliver news updates every 30 minutes," panimula ni Mr. Pangilinan sa kanyang speech.
"We've always wanted to create a news and entertainment vehicle that will equip the management of TV5 with various platforms. So we have our VHF TV channel which is TV5, and then we have our news online InterAksyon.com, then of course we're the first AM radio station on FM, and now, Aksyon TV.
"So the only missing piece so far will be the international service which we hope to launch by May in the U.S. and Canada.
"Now, the other piece of activity that we'd like to focus on in the coming months is our ability to promote and propagate sports here in the Philippines. And when we launched the sports foundation about a week ago, we have promised to support not only basketball but seven other sports, whose content we would like to push on the various platforms that TV5 has created.
