“It is both full of happiness and sadness but the most important matter is we’re just retiring my jersey—and that’s very important.

“I guess so much flame of competitiveness burn in me and while I haven’t been present most of the time in the PBA games, I want you to understand that my heart, my mind, and my spirit is always there.

“I enjoy watching it the way I used to when I was playing.

“Thinking about this retirement has never come into my mind because so many things have gone so fast.

“I treasure those moments in the PBA. Twenty-three years is 23 years.

“The PBA is now on its 37th year, and I am happy that I was there when I was in seven!” biro niya.

Big J was my HERO when i was growing up... instead na superheroes, and because my dad would bring me to live games of Toyota as a child, it was jaworski who was a real-life hero... the PBA lost its glory after Big J's sudden exit...

I was an avid fan od the Big J during his era. And after him, wala nakong naging favorite. For me, he is the ultimate at wala ng makakadaig sa kanya kahit na cno pang pinaka magaling sa PBA ngayon.
