FIRST READ ON PEP. Derek Ramsay and Mary Christine Jolly settle differences for the sake of son Austin

Kumpirmadong nagkaayos na si Derek Ramsay at ang estranged wife nitong si Mary Christine Jolly.

Ito ay kinumpirma sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa pamamagitan ng Facebook messaging ni Judge Eugene Paras ng Branch 58, Makati Regional Trial Court.

Kahit hindi siya ang huwes na humawak sa naturang settlement, sinabi ni Judge Paras na, “Derek and Mary entered into a compromise agreement for the sake of their son Austin.”

Naganap daw ang pirmahan ng kanilang kasunduan bandang alas-dos ng hapon kahapon, October 24.

Pahayag ni Judge Paras sa PEP, “This much I can say. Derek and Mary entered into a compromise agreement for the sake of their son Austin. They signed the agreement around 2pm yesterday.

“The terms are kept private and confidential so you may choose to ask Derek instead.

“I was not the judge who heard the case but the agreement was entered into in one of the family courts of Makati.

“All cases filed by one against the other have been withdrawn as part of their compromise agreement.”

THE PHOTOS. Nitong nakaraang Huwebes, October 23, lumabas sa Internet ang litrato nina Derek at Mary Christine kasama si Judge Paras.

Nakasaad sa caption ng Facebook post ni Judge Paras na nagkaayos na ang nagkaalitang kampo.

Aniya, “They finally settled. :)”

Nauna rito ang isa pang post ni Judge Paras kasama ang Kapatid actor.

Matatandaang nagsampa ng reklamo si Mary Christine laban kay Derek kaugnay ng umano'y paglabag sa Republic Act No. 9262, o mas kilala sa tawag na Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, nitong nakaraang June 27, 2014.

Mahigpit namang itinanggi ni Derek ang mga akusasyong ito ng asawa.

Pero nitong nakaraang linggo, binawi ng kampo ni Mary Christine ang reklamo nila laban kay Derek sa Makati RTC kaugnay ng R.A. 9262 at ililipat daw nila ito sa Department of Justice.

DEREK RAMSAY’S SIDE. Sinikap ng PEP na hingan ng pahayag si Derek tungkol sa balitang "settled" na ang isyu sa pagitan nila ni Mary Christine.

Pero hindi pa ito tumugon sa mensaheng ipinadala ng PEP sa kanyang mobile number.

Sa Instagram, nag-post si Derek noong Huwebes, October 23, ng larawan nila ng anak na si Austin.

Sabi niya sa caption, “Today is the best day of my life. Thank you for all the prayers. God is good. #prouddad”

Ayon naman sa abugado nitong si Atty. Joji Alonso, magbibigay sila ng pahayag sa darating na Huwebes, October 30.

MARY CHRISTINE JOLLY’S SIDE. Nagpadala na rin ang PEP ng mensahe sa abugado ni Mary Christine na si Atty. Argee Guevarra.

Ayon sa abugado, ang status nito sa Facebook noong October 24 ang siyang pahayag niya tungkol sa issue (published as is): “so that there will be no need for my reaction to rumours of a settlement between Derek Ramsay and wife, Mary Ramsay:

"there comes a point for an advocate for the victim, the voiceless and the vulnerable where he attains sublime eloquence in the words 'No Comment'"
