"Ian deserves it," saad ni Jake.

Hindi raw isyu sa kanya iyon lalo pa't co-star niya si Ian sa ongoing Kapamilya prime-time series na The Iron Heart.

Paliwanag ni Jake: "Paprangkahin na kita, you hear people's opinions and all that.

"For me, I'd rather accept the fact that he's a better actor kasi that will make me wake up in the morning, make me read my scripts.

"That will make me accept this play and not have so much rules because I am a leading man. Wala nang ganun, di ba?"

Diin pa niya: "For me, that is his night, congratulations kay Ian. I'm working with him in Iron Heart. Congratulations to him, I'm very much happy for him.

JAKE CUENCA ON MY FATHER, MYSELF

Sabi naman ni Jake, "I cannot argue with SM. That's their rule and I cannot argue with them.

"Parang I'm hopeful naman that the streaming platforms would pick it up and, hopefully, more people would watch it that way.

"For me, for everyone who watched it, thank you. For me, [I appreciate] the effort.

"People really had to look for a movie nung December. [To the] people who bought tickets and support, from the bottom of my heart, thank you."

JAKE ON GOOD FEEDBACK ON HIS ACTING

"I have to be very thankful kasi ang laki ng mileage ng movie. I kept saying it was a humble thing na umabot kami ng Metro Manila filmfest.

"One thing I wanna thank lang is the clamor kasi I felt the unwavering support of the fans, unwavering support of the press, unwavering support of people in the industry.

"For me, it was such a great morning nung nagising ako on my birthday kasi December 30 birthday ko, e.

"I had so many messages from the bosses, actors, colleagues, people from the industry na nakakatuwa, nakakataba ng puso.

"It just pushed me start all over again. Sabi ko, if last year was a good year then I had to top that by doubling my work."

Dagdag niya sa mga proyekto niya ngayong 2023, "I plan to do two plays this year and I plan to do more movies and TV shows."
