KimXi continues to be on a break for now as Xian Lim gets a new leading lady.
Coleen Garcia will be the partner of Xian in a new movie.
The story conference took place on Friday, October 21, according to Instagram posts of Star Cinema.
The director for this upcoming movie is Jason Paul Laxamana. He directed The Third Party starring Angel Locsin, Sam Milby, and Zanjoe Marudo, which is currently being screened in cinemas.
Direk Jason also helmed the Cinemalaya 2016 entry Mercury is Mine that was topbilled by Pokwang and Bret Jackson.
In Coleen's Instagram post, she said she is excited to work with both Xian and Direk Jason for the first time.
In her caption, she wrote, "Really excited for this next movie. Looking forward to working with you both for the first time, Direk @jplaxamana and @xianlimm! Thank you once again for the trust, @starcinema."
Xian also shared a photo in his Instagram account saying that he is also excited to do the film.
In a previous article published on PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) just hours before the story con, it was reported that Xian will not be paired with perennial onscreen partner Kim Chiu for his next project.
Kim pointed out, “Kami naman open naman kami kasi di na naman kami teenager na napapabilang pa ako sa mga sweety loving...na parang exclusive."

Coincidentally, Coleen was also part of Kim and Xian's first teleserye My Binondo Girl aired in 2011.
However, Coleen and Xian never shared scenes together as the former did not stay long in the ABS-CBN series. Back then, Coleen shot scenes mostly with Jolo Revilla.
Xian was also not paired with Kim in his last movie Everything About Her, which was shown in January this year. Xian was paired with Angel Locsin in the family drama.
Meanwhile, Coleen is currently finishing the movie Extra Service wherein she co-stars with Arci Munoz, Jessy Mendiola, Vin Abrenica, Ejay Falcon, and Enzo Pineda.
No playdate has been announced yet for the Coleen-Xian movie.
