The Super Parental Guardians ended its record-breaking run by earning P598 million worldwide.
This was revealed by Star Cinema during the January 10 thanksgiving party of TSPG.
ABS-CBN's film production arm says this Vice Ganda-Coco Martin movie is now the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.
Vice Ganda showed his gratitude by posting his group shot with TSPG co-stars and providing the caption: “598Million THANK YOUS Madlang People!!!!”
Directed by Joyce Bernal, TSPG also features child actors Awra Briguela and Simon "Onyok" Pineda of ABS-CBN's hit primetime show Ang Probinsyano.
Even though it was not part of the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival, The Super Parental Guardians was screened in provincial cinemas from December 25 to January 3, 2017.
It was previously announced that the movie earned P590.1 million worldwide as of January 3. It earned another P8 million on its fifth week, bringing its global box-office gross to P598 million.
