There were plenty of funny and unscripted moments that took place at the awards night of the 33rd Star Awards for Movies.

During the Gabi ng Parangal, celebrities had the chance to share the stage together, leading to laugh-out-loud moments.

Hosted by Aljur Abrenica, Yassi Pressman, Daniel Matsunaga, Alex Gonzaga, and Robi Domingo, the awarding ceremony took place last night, September 3, at Resorts World Manila.

Here are some of the funniest moments at the Star Awards for Movies 2017:

1. Award, anyone?

One of the most shocking moments took place between Alex Gonzaga and Luis Manzano.

Luis won the Darling of the Press award given by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC).

Luis was able to beat fellow nominees Harlene Bautista, Kim Chiu, KC Concepcion, Kaye Dacer, Xian Lim, Piolo Pascual, and Regine Tolentino.

After Luis was given the award, he had a humorous exchange with Alex when the cameras were no longer rolling for the televised portion of the program.

2. Dance showdown in the future?

Yet another funny moment ensued when Alex teased newly transferred ABS-CBN star Aljur Abrenica.

In an intermission number, Sam Concepcion, Darren Espanto, and Edgar Allan Guzman entertained the crowd with song-and-dance number.

Afterwards, Alex challenged Aljur, "Dapat may intermission din tayo na ganyan, e."

Aljur gamely said, "Sige, ako kakanta tapos ikaw sasayaw. O, ano game ka ba?"

The Kapamilya actress responded by saying, "Sige game! O, ano ngayon na ba natin gagawin?"

Aljur already agreed to do the number.

However, Alex suddenly told him, "'Kaw talaga ang hilig mo magpapaniwala sa akin.

"Huwag ka masyado magpapaniwala sa akin kasi baka magalit si Kylie sa akin," referring to Kylie Padilla, the fiancee of Aljur.

The Kapamilya actress dismissed her own suggestion by saying, "Next time na lang. Dapat paghandaan natin 'yan."

3. Walang forever.

Before the trophies were given to Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos as the Ginintuang Bituin Ng Pelikulang Pilipino, there was a tribute given to the two veteran actresses.

Robi Domingo read the citation that described Nora and Vilma as "forever actresses."

Robi turned to his fellow host Daniel Matsunaga and quipped, "Buti pa ang pagaartista may forever. Tayong dalawa, walang forever."

It will be recalled that Robi split up with his girlfriend Gretchen Ho in March 2017.

Menwhile, Daniel broke up with Erich Gonzales in January 2017.

The fierce rivalry between Noranians vs. Vilmanians was seen once again during the Star Awards for Movies 2017.

Both groups tried to drown each other out by shouting the name of their idol very loudly inside the venue.

Vilma Santos used humor to tell off their fans.

She pointed out, "Nagkukwentuhan kami [ni Nora Aunor] sa backstage, hindi kami magkarinigan dahil sa sigaw niyo na 'Ate Vi...Ate Guy. Pero joke lang."

Nora and Vilma were tied in the Best Actress category. The Star for all Seasons won for the movie Everything About Her while the Superstar (also known as Ate Guy) was recognized for Kabisera.
