Filipino fans of American indie-pop band LANY rejoiced as another date was added for the band's Malibu Nights Tour 2019 in Manila.
The trio—composed of Paul Klein, Jake Goss, and Les Priest—will be staging its second major solo concert this July 24 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The concert is promoted by MMI Live, Karpos Multimedia, and Live Nation.
Tickets went on sale on February 21 at 12 p.m. Tickets for the first night of their Manila concert sold out in just two hours.
The band's general manager Rupert Lincoln, however, hinted about a possible second night.
He wrote in his Twitter account: "If the arena sold out already, don’t worry—we reserved a second night just in case. I’m waiting for an update."
At around 3 p.m., MMI Live officially announced another concert night for the next day, July 25, at the same venue.
Tickets for the second night of the LANY concert go on sale this Friday, February 22, at 12 p.m. via SM Tickets.
The prices will remain the same:
MMI Live reminded concertgoers to buy tickets at official ticketing services and not accept offers from scalpers or resellers.
The American band rose to fame in 2017 when it released its self-titled debut album. Its hit songs include "ILYSB," "Super Far," "Good Girls," and "Thru These Tears."
This will be LANY's fourth time to visit the Philippines.
The band first performed for their Filipino fans in April 2017 for the Wanderland Music and Arts Festival.
They returned to Manila for a series of mall shows in August.
For their third visit, LANY headlined their first-ever arena show in Manila at the Araneta Coliseum.
