It's confirmed: the prime-time shows of ABS-CBN Entertainment will start airing on TV5's prime-time block starting March 8, 2021!
This was announced in a joint statement released by ABS-CBN Corporate Communications and TV5 this evening, March 5.
The four shows on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block are FPJ's Ang Probinsyano; Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin; Walang Hanggang Paalam, and Pinoy Big Brother: Connect.
Two of these shows are set to end in the next two weeks: Pinoy Big Brother on March 14 and Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin on March 19.
The joint statement also debunks the report that FPJ's Ang Probinsyano will end this April 2021, as it will "continue to serve our loyal viewers with engaging and action-packed episodes."
The simulcast of ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block on TV5 follows the simulcast of ASAP Natin 'To and FPJ: Da King on Kapatid network, which started in January 2021.
Here is the full statement of ABS-CBN and TV5:
ABS-CBN Primetime Bida continues to air on Kapamilya Channel on cable, Kapamilya Online Live on Facebook and YouTube, and A2Z Channel 11 on free analog and digital TV.
These channels served as broadcast platforms for ABS-CBN Entertainment shows after Congress junked the renewal of the Kapamilya network's franchise on July 10, 2020.
