Remember the talked-about resuscitation scene in GMA-7’s drama series Kambal, Karibal?
The scene, which went viral in April 2018, features a nurse performing chest compressions on a patient.
The nurse is seen vigorously jerking her shoulders while barely pumping the patient's chest to bring him to life.
The scene was described by netizens as “unrealistic” and caused a word war between Kambal, Karibal creative consultant Suzette Doctolero and actor/talent manager/TV host Ogie Diaz.
That wasn't the end of the story.
On June 22, 2021, the scene went viral again after three years when celebrity US-based doctor Mike Varshavski reposted the scene on Twitter.

Dr. Mike is known in the Philippines as the doctor who dated Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. He is also known as the “Sexiest Doctor Alive.”
He wrote in his tweet, “These chest compressions hurt my soul.”
Along with his tweet are three emojis: skull face, no sweat emoji, and a no entry sign.
The post, at press time, has already 5.6k retweets and 28.6k likes.
Dr. Mike also reposted the scene in his Instagram account.
He wrote in his Instagram story, “Is she performing chest compressions or the new Tik Tok dance?”
He also included a poll with the choices “CPR” and “TikTok Dance.”
Upon checking the results, at press time, CPR has 13% while TikTok Dance has 87%.
A GIF that says “Failed” was also placed on the part of the nurse.
Kambal, Karibal is top-billed by Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, and Kyline Alcantara. The project, which premiered by November 2017, was only supposed to run for 8 weeks but was extended until August 2018 because of its high ratings.
