Why did Kyla leave GMA-7?

Kyla says about her former network, GMA-7: "In my 15 years as an artist and as a performer, feeling ko po na-maximize ko yung pagiging an artist doon sa kabila." Cornerstone Talent Management Center is planning to stage an anniversary concert for the singer.

Kyla opened up regarding her decision to bid farewell to GMA-7, her home network for the past 15 years.

In an interview with Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino on Aquino & Abunda Tonight, Kyla was asked if she is transferring to ABS-CBN.

The R&B singer did not directly answer the question about her network transfer but she said, "In my 15 years as an artist and as a performer, feeling ko po na-maximize ko 'yung pagiging an artist doon sa kabila [GMA]."

"Ngayon, I'm just really, really happy."

"Now that I am open for anything, I am happy and excited na makakatrabaho ko 'yung mga artists that I look up to and they're all here on ABS-CBN."

Boy Abunda then commented, "It’s a new world, it’s a new adventure."

The singer agreed and hinted that she will perform in ABS-CBN's concert variety show ASAP.

Kyla pointed out that there's no bad blood between her and the Kapuso Network. "Naging nice po yung exit," says the former mainstay of Sunday All Stars.

"Actually, very happy po ako kasi everyone there, colleagues ko, co-artists, and nagpaalam ako ng maayos sa big bossings, they're all happy and very supportive sa desisyon po na nagawa ko," she concluded.

Kyla ended the interview by giving her rendition of "My Heart," her song for husband Rich Alvarez, and "Take My Heart Away."
