Jason Dy of Team Sarah wins The Voice PH Season 2; beats runner-up Alisah Bonaobra

Jason Dy is the grand winner of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2.

The Haranista Heartthrob cried when he was announced as the winner of ABS-CBN's reality singing competition earlier tonight, March 1.

As soon as he was announced as the winner, Jason knelt down as tears streamed down his face.

His coach, Sarah Geronimo, was just as emotional when she crouched down beside him.

Jason was able to defeat first runner-up Alisah Bonaobra in the final round aired earlier tonight from Resorts World Manila.

The Haranista Heartthrob ng Butuan was able to get 52.94% of the votes while runner-up Alisah of Team Apl de Ap was able to get 47.06% of the votes.

Leah Patricio of Team Lea Salonga and Rence Rapanot of Team Bamboo were eliminated during the earlier rounds.

The second runner-up was Leah while the third runner-up was Rence.

Before Jason was announced as the winner, Sarah pointed out why he deserves to win: "Napakahirap makahanap ng artista na kayang i-touch ang puso n'yo, na hindi kailangan bumirit."

THIRD ROUND: SOLO SONGS. During the third round of the competition, the Top Four introduced each other prior to the performance.

Leah Patricio sang "Run to You"

Jason Dy sang "Angels Brought Me Here"

Alisah Bonaobra sang "Go the Distance"

FOURTH ROUND: PERFORMANCES WITH COACHES. Earlier tonight, the Top Four also had the chance to perform with their respective coaches.

Leah Patricio and Lea Salonga sang "If I were a Boy" and "You Oughta Know"

Jason Dy and Sarah Geronimo sang "If I Ain't Got You"

Alisah Bonaobra and Apl de Ap sang "Hero" / "You Can Do Anything"

Rence Rapanot and Bamboo sang "Hinahanap-Hanap Kita"
