Dimples Romana will sit as one of the jurors at the 50th International Emmy Awards!
The actress has just shared the good news on her social media pages today, June 20, 2022.
The Kapamilya star, now pregnant with her third child, wrote, “Magandang umaga [smiling and heart emojis]
“Starting this amazing week with a heart full of gratitude as I share with you one of the many surprise blessings I received these past months!
“And now finally I can officially share my joy with you [heart emoji]
“So honored and grateful to have been able to participate as a JUROR for this year’s prestigious @iemmys International Emmy Awards Competition. I’m super kilig!!!
“I thank the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for letting me have this once in a lifetime experience that has truly inspired my thespian heart [heart emoji]
“Contributing in selecting the BEST TELEVISION programming from around the WORLD was both my honor and pleasure. #iemmys.
“Maraming Maraming Salamat po muli! And I can’t wait to join in on the festivities in New York City come November. Blessings upon blessings.”
This is the second time for Dimples to become a juror for the iEmmys.
She was first invited to the 48th International Emmy Awards in 2020, where Dimples posted a Zoom call with the other jurors from around the world.
According to the official website of the iEmmys, more than 1,000 TV professionals are selected to serve as jurors for the awards, which can be applied through the website.
The jury panels represent “current trends in world television programming as well as a wide range of industry professionals from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.”
The website added that the jurors should have at least five years of professional experience in doing TV work, including production, directing, and acting, as well as other careers on television.
Dimples, who has been acting since 1996, started her career as part of ABS-CBN Talent Center, now known as Star Magic.
Over the recent years, Dimples essayed roles on TV that stood out significantly to merit memes and discussions on social media. Some of these shows were The Greatest Love (2016-2017), Bagani (2018), Kadenang Ginto (2018-2020), and most recently, Viral Scandal (2020-2021).
