BATTLE OF TV RATINGS: Lenten Specials of Eat Bulaga versus It's Showtime

As part of the Holy Week offering of Eat Bulaga, Marian Rivera takes care of a cerebral palsy patient played by Bianca Umali (left frame). Meanwhile, It's Showtime mainstay Anne Curtis depicted the life of a pole dancer who was punished by her father (played by Nonie Buencamino).

During the Holy Week, viewers get to see a different side of noontime hosts when they take part in the Holy Week presentations of their respective networks.

ABS-CBN's It's Showtime and GMA-7's Eat Bulaga offered Lenten specials that set the mood during this period of reflection.

Both noontime shows chose to do away with the usual segments and instead offered dramatizations of life stories.

It's Showtime portrayed the inspiring stories of families who performed in the program’s family talent competition “Bida Kapamilya.”

Meanwhile, Eat Bulaga featured the winners of the segment "Juan For All, All For Juan."
