Ibinahagi ni Isko Moreno ang mga nangyari ilang minuto bago umere sa telebisyon ang kanilang programang Eat Bulaga! noong Sabado, July 1, 2023.
Noong araw na yun naganap ang makasaysayang pagsasalpukan ng tatlong noontime shows: Eat Bulaga! ng GMA-7, EAT... ng TV5, at It’s Showtime ng GTV.

Kuwento ni Isko sa Fast Talk With Boy Abunda ngayong Lunes ng hapon, July 3, “A few minutes before the airing, 'coz it was a live show, Paolo [Contis] and I, and the team, nasa isang room kami, I told them, 'Guys, I’ve seen so many failures in life. I have seen success, I’ve seen challenges, but one good thing about today, we’re gonna be part of history. Enjoy it.
“'You were asked to be part of the show because you have a certain talent and specific feel, excel from it.
“'Let’s enjoy this afternoon because, at the end of the day, I mean, ang mga tao ang mananalo dito.'"
Patuloy ni Isko, "If I may repeat again, ngayon ang noontime show, buffet na. Marami nang choices ang ating mga kababayan, ang ating mga Kapuso.
“So, sabi ko, 'Let’s just be ourselves. Nothing to prove. Just be the best that you can be on that particular day.
“There’s so much pressure and, you know, darating ang July 1, there will be July 2, there will be July 3, and so on and so forth.'"
Ngayong Lunes, lumabas ang ratings ng mga noontime show noong July 1. Nanguna ang EAT...; pumangalawa ang It’s Showtime, na napanood sa unang pagkakataon sa GTV; at pangatlo ang Eat Bulaga!.

Tanong ni Boy kay Isko, “Ano ang pakiramdam na doon sa buffet, mas konti ang taong pumili sa inyo?”
Tugon ni Isko: “Well, that’s understandable because there’s so much hype, drama [that] happened in the past weeks and days.
"Kami naman, basta tayo, focus lang tayo. Ang gawin nating Eat Bulaga! ngayon, hindi na tungkol sa mga host. Tungkol na ito sa viewers. Ilapit natin yung Eat Bulaga! sa kanila.
“Kasi, we artists, we come and go. Even shows come and go, but yung mabigyan natin ng pagkakataon ang lahat na makapagtrabaho, makapaghanapbuhay.
“Makikita mo ilang tao sa harap ng kamera but behind the camera, it produces opportunity for everyone.
“Now, if there will be buffet like in this case, lalabas lahat ng galing ng mga artista kasi may kumpitensiya.
“And we should not hate each other when we are competing. Kumbaga, parang ang point ko, let’s not create hate and expect somebody to favor you to go up. Para tumaas ka, aapakan mo yung likod nang may likod o paa nang may paa.
“We should be proud na panalo dito ngayon yung viewers so magtulungan tayo.
“We congratulated TVJ, at least meron na silang bahay. Paolo congratulated Vice Ganda.
"So, marami na ngayong options. Marami nang opportunity at gaganda na yung noontime shows para sa viewers.”

Tinanggap ni Boy ang paliwanag ni Isko, pero makahulugan ang kanyang sumunod na tanong: “In a landscape na may kumpetisyon, ito’y hindi lamang pagalingan kundi padamihan ng sumusuporta. So, simpleng tanong, how do you intend to stay dahil yung umpisa nung Sabado na palabas ng iba’t ibang noontime show, medyo you could have done better, in terms of the numbers?"
Ayon kay Isko, “The numbers again, there’s so much hype [that] happened and people got interested, but I don’t think hype can be sustainable.
“What is sustainable is perserverance and consistency and innovation.
“Kasi ngayon, collaborative ang Eat Bulaga!. Involved ang artists, the creatives, GMA 7, the management TAPE Inc., and the production.
“I am happy to be back. Sana suportahan niyo po kami in our own little way, we will give you the best things for the afternoon.”
