Coco Martin shaved his hair for the remake of the late Fernando Poe Jr.’s 1997 hit movie Ang Probinsyano.
An Instagram post shared by Dreamscape Entertainment (the production unit of the show) showed Coco and his newly-shaved head.

Earlier today, May 29, the cast members had their first taping day. Coco is required to shave his hair as he is set to play a policeman.

Coco and veteran actress Susan Roces also shot scenes at the Philippine National Police Academy.

In the upcoming teleserye, Coco will give life to a role of a policeman, which was originally played by the Action King FPJ. He is seeking revenge for the death of his twin brother, and will do everything to give him justice.

Coco’s other co-stars—Michael Jornales, Marc Acueza, Lester Llansang, Rino Marco and John Medina—also had their hair shaved for the upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye.

To prepare for his role, Coco also went through police training together with other cast members Arjo Atayde and Albert Martinez.

Set to air this 2015, Ang Probinsyano also stars Angeline Quinto and comebacking Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla. The Kapamilya series is directed by Malu Sevilla.
