With the tandem of Kylie Padilla and Ruru Madrid having its own following, is Gabbi Garcia ready to part ways with Ruru in Encantadia?

Encantadia
star Gabbi Garcia is aware that a lot of viewers are rooting for the tandem of Kylie Padilla and Ruru Madrid in the said telefantasya.

One major change in the 2016 version of Encantadia is the romantic involvement of the characters of Amihan (Kylie) and Ybrahim/Ybarro (Ruru), after Alena (Gabbi) lost her memory and went to the mortal world.

When Alena returned to the kingdom of Encantadia, she found out that Amihan and Ybrahim already have feelings for each other.

Viewers and netizens took notice of Kylie and Ruru's chemistry that they formed their own fandom called "YbraMihan" – combining the names of Ybrahim and Amihan.

After the PEPTalk shoot with the Encantadia Sang'gres last October 11, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Gabbi if she's ready to part ways with Ruru, her love team partner for the GabRu tandem since 2014.

Gabbi admitted, "Ako naman anything goes, it's for the show. It's for the good for the show.

"Lahat ng twists, lahat ng gimmicks, hinihingi ng fans, hinihingi ng Encantadiks yun.

"Ngayon pa ba ako magfi-fear, e, nagta-toprate ang Encantadia ngayon."

The Kapuso epic telefantasya is registering high ratings, especially in Urban Luzon.

"I'm pretty sure GMA knows what they're doing, tiwala ako sa GMA."

"Kung ito man yung end or whatsoever, wala naman akong alam, e.

"Okay lang basta he's doing his job very well, I'm doing my job.

"Kung ikalalakas ng career niya, ikalalakas din ng career ko, why not di ba?

"Pero wala pa naman, let's see what happens."

In the Kapuso primetime show, Gabbi has not yet appeared again since her character Alena had to transform into a turtle after a fight with Pirena (Glaiza de Castro).

BASHERS. It is inevitable that there are bashers who post derogatory comments about the show and its stars.

According to the 17-year-old actress, she is already used to bashers.

She said, "Okay naman, di naman one hundred percent okay.

"Pero sometimes [kasi], they go to your personal lives. Sometimes, they go below the belt na like hindi na si Alena yung binabash, ako na."

However, she does not make a big fuss out of those comments.

She continued, "Yung take ko doon is not really that big, not really that deep.

"The public owns you, you're a public property. Lahat ng tao hooked na hooked ngayon sa Encantadia nadadala rin sila.

"I just don't read na lang. Ako before, sobrang habit ko mag-read kahit bash pa yan pero ngayon, ngayon ko naramdaman yung pagkaseryoso ko sa show, seryoso ko sa character so I just don't read na lang.

"Kung maapektuhan ako, bakit ko pa babasahin?"

MOTHER ROLE. Another big challenge that faced Gabbi for Encantadia is to play a mother at the young age of 17 years old.

Just recently, her character Alena gave birth to her child Kahlil (played by Avery Paraiso).

The said subplot is included in the original story of Encantadia wherein Jake Cuenca played the said role.

Gabbi said she did not have any hesitations upon accepting the role.

She disclosed, "Oo naman. Hindi naman siya yung mother role na… it depends on the character, e.

"Merong mga mother role na feeling ko hindi pa time, merong mga mother role na reasonable naman.

"Like for Enca, it’s a fantasy serye, it's not an ordinary serye.

"Yung character ko sa Enca is not a teenager. I'm portraying a mature role na so I don't think na yung mga tao, magre-react na bakit daw nag-accept ako ng mother role.

"It's for Enca, it's a fantaserye. Anything can happen at saka the character is good naman, e. And the character is worth it. Why not?"
