Among those who modeled Pin's creations—and appeared on photographs by Sarah Black, Francis Abraham, and Raymund Isaac—included Loius Claparols, Bing Loyzaga, AJ Dee, Danita Paner, Rica Peralejo, Amy Perez and her son Adi, Ariel Rivera and Gelli de Belen with children Joaquin and Julio, Mariel Rodriguez, Side A Band, Rep. Ricky Sandoval, Erik Santos, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Eula Valdez, and Boy Abunda.
Pin is a noted hairstylist of Salon de Manila.
One highlight of the event was the rare appearance of Willie Revillame’s estranged wife, Liz Almoro, since she filed an annulment case against her husband. She granted interviews to the members of the entertainment press who were present in the event.
Liz expressed her support for Pin’s advocacy in helping battered women in depressed communities, particularly in Payatas, Quezon City.
"I’m here with Pin in helping these women uplift their spirits, build their confidence and get back on their feet. Of course, there’s nothing greater than prayer. He can give us whatever strength we need," Liz said.
Actress Eula Valdez chuckled as she described her hairdo styled by Pin: "Andun ako sa medyo dark, aggressive. Yun yung salon niya. Always bumabalik ako sa kanya [Pin]. Thank God for extensions because I always wanted to get a mohawk na hindi ko magawa because of my roles."
Rica Peralejo, who just came back from a US tour, said she did the shoot to thank Pin for all her previous hairstyles: "I’m the first. I’m willing to do the shoot. Kasi she did so much for me already."
Pin’s personal friend and neighbor Gelli de Belen added: "Unang-una sa lahat, she’s the best in what she does. Nag-aaral yan, siyempre para ma-update niya yung alam niyang styles. Tuloy-tuloy ang progress tapos tinuturo niya sa staff niya. Iba yung quality e, when you go there, you can trust them with what they want to do to your hair. Sila na ang bahala. Pagkukulay ng buhok, very dangerous. Kelangan you can go to somebody you can trust. Inaanak [pa] niya [Pin] yung anak ko."
Enteng Kabisote 3 cast member Bing Loyzaga admitted having goosebumps prior to the photo shoot. "During the photo shoot, Ninenerbyos ako. What can I do for Pin? To showcase something different. Sinasabi naman ni Pin, enjoy just be yourself. Tawa kami nang tawa, ang gulo-gulo namin. It was a great joy to work for Pin."
She added: "I’ve done hair shows for her. Kumbaga ngayon, you’re selling the hair. Hindi siya live na pwedeng ilaro yung hair. How can I sell the hair in a photo? That was the challenge for me. The greatest feeling I got was knowing that after all these years that we’ve been together with Pin, she still trusts me. That’s the greatest gift I got. The main thing it’s my hair, not me. How can I make my hair look good."
"Hair Pin" is a production of Salon de Manila and Backroom Production. The exhibit is for the benefit of Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines Inc.
