Angel Locsin tearfully confirmed her break-up with boyfriend Oyo Sotto.
During her launch as celebrity endorser for the Belo Medical Group on December 28, Angel was at first silent when GMA-7’s on-camera interviewer Butch Francisco asked her about the status of her relationship with Oyo.
“Cool-off ba?” asked Butch. In tears, Angel shook her head slightly. Butch followed up with, “Tapos na nga ba?” Angel nodded, and gave a short comment, “Ang hirap sagutin.”
According to a report from GMA-7’s showbiz talk show S-Files, there were two possible reasons for the break-up: Oyo’s alleged relationship with Enteng Kabisote 3 fellow cast member Bing Loyzaga and Angel’s ties with Asian Treasures co-star Robin Padilla.
The report added that Angel was hospitalized for depression over the break-up on December 29.
To her rescue was her long-time manager Becky Aguila, with whom Angel has reconciled amid the break-up. Becky took care of Angel while the star was in the hospital, the report added.
While recuperating from her illness, Angel declined to be interviewed on air. As of this posting, Oyo remains silent over the break-up.
