Sa simula ng e-mail ni Yilmaz tungkol sa nailathalang artikulo sa Inquirer, sinabi niya: "I felt obliged to use my right to reply regarding the news published about me last May 15. I hope the subject matter shall be over and the agenda will change. Hopefully, news like global warming will be on the agenda.
"First of all, if I have any fault due to human nature, the media has the right to criticize me but only with sufficient proof that I am the one to blame. However, you do not have the right to use my fictional fault and my religion.
"At the moment, ethnic and religious terrorizations are at its highest levels all around the world. Therefore, I would like to remind you of the dangers of taking this to a world circumstance."
Sabi ni Yilmaz, "I have never exerted pressure on Ruffa during our relationship so that she will become a Muslim. On the contrary, I requested her not to choose Islam in case she was doing this just to make me happy.
"I had also stated that I would never change my religion for her sake. When she chose to again become a Christian last week, I did not object. No matter what her religion is, all I want from her is love, sympathy, and respect for others."
Muli sa kanyang e-mail sa Startalk, sinabi ni Yilmaz, "Regarding the headscarf and clothing style, I have never made such pressure either, only for the choice of clothing style. I told her that she must be careful while choosing her clothes because she is the bride of an important family."
Aniya, "Mrs. Annabel says she did not love me from the beginning. I want to say that I loved her from the first day that we met and that I still love her today.
"My silence is not as if I am not able to speak English or because of my fear, but because of my nobility. I accept this fortitude, your anger and instinct to protect your daughter. You do not give up on your daughter.
"Therefore, please understand my effort of not abandoning my own daughters. Also, I didn't have the intention of setting my daughters and their mother apart. As long as Ruffa fulfills her duty as a mother and lived her life with a certain level of dignity."
