Former senator Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa's daughter, Lala Sotto, came out in defense of her parents regarding news that the couple have separated because of Tito's alleged infidelity.
In a text message Lala sent to Startalk last Saturday, June 2, she dismissed all the rumors and assured both the public and the press that her parents' marriage remains intact and on solid ground.
Accusations against Tito are that the comedian-turned-politician has allegedly been having an affair with singer Zsa Zsa Padilla, aside from keeping a love child with another woman.
In a statement, ZsaZsa bashed the report. She said that she has not even seen Tito for about two years, so the possibility of an affair was ridiculous.
Lala also dismissed the rumor that her sister, Ciara Sotto, is pregnant by her non-showbiz boyfriend and that Ciara is in the States to hide from the prying eyes of the press.
"Ciara and my Mom are in the States because Ciara has a project there, and not because she's hiding something. My sister is not pregnant," said Lala.
Tito Sotto, who moved from the opposition group to join President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's camp, lost in his re-election bid for senator in the recently concluded May 14 elections.
