"Starting on my birthday, ang magiging wish ko na sana ‘wag nang pag-usapan ‘yong sa amin ni Yilmaz at kung may developments man, sa aming sarili na lang ‘yon," says Ruffa Gutierrez about her upcoming 34th birthday.

"And believe me, never I am not gonna be with my Ruffa!!! Mom and Dad, it's your Ruffa now. Please dad, take care of her. Sorry, sorry, million times sorry for Gutierrez and Bektas family, except myself," said Yilmaz Bektas in his text message to Philippine STAR entertainment columnist Ricky Lo.

Yilmaz also announced that his wife, Ruffa Gutierrez, and he talked and decided to finally part ways last June 14—days after Ruffa's explosive revelation that she is a battered wife.

"I think now he understands kasi sabi niya sa akin sa text niya na ‘I understand the situation now.' And sabi niya na mas mabuti na hindi [kami] magkita, hindi magkausap, hindi magkaaway, magiging magkaibigan pa rin kami," said Ruffa in a taped interview with The Buzz that aired yesterday, June 17.

When asked if she still loves her husband of four years, Ruffa answered without batting an eyelash: "Sa ngayon, hindi... Kasi nasasaktan ako sa mga messages na pinapadala niya sa akin, sa Mommy ko [Annabelle Rama], sa Daddy ko, [Eddie Gutierrez], ‘yong mga ginagawa niya. He ruined me, him, and my kids. Sa tingin ko ngayon, tinuldukan ko na talaga."

Ruffa, like Yilmaz, is much calmer nowadays than her previous interviews.

"Ang ginagawa ko ngayon, I'm trying to attract positive energy para lahat ng positive mapunta sa akin. Ayoko nang mag-isip ng negative. And you know, minsan nalulungkot ako, minsan masaya ako. Pero mas nagiging masaya ako when I get these overwhelming messages from friends, from fans, from mga sulat—‘yon ang nagpapatibay sa akin," she explained.

She added, "I've been trying to protect my family. I don't want to speak. I've been trying to protect my kids. Marami pa akong kuwentong hindi sinasabi. I just gave them [the public] an inside peek para maintindihan ng mga tao kung bakit ayaw kong bumalik sa Istanbul."

Ruffa sent this text message to PEP today, June 18: "When I said he ruined me, my kids, and himself on The Buzz, this was before Yilmaz's apology. Okay na kami pareho. Paki-clear lang. Thanks a bunch."
